Donate to charities you care about straight from your salary

Nationwide works with Charitable Giving to give you two easy ways to donate to charity each month.
To make sure the charities get the full benefit from your contributions, Nationwide covers the cost of administering these schemes.
Our work with Charitable Giving allows you to support UK charities close to your heart.
You can do this by joining one or both of our charitable schemes - Payroll Giving or Every Penny Helps (EPH)

Ways to Give

Payroll Giving

Donate to charity through regular monthly donations from your pay – just decide which charities you’d like to support and how much you’d like to donate each month.

The donations come from your gross pay, so it costs you less to give more. The tax that would have been due is included in the amount you donate, meaning it’s a tax-efficient way of giving to charity.

Ready to join the scheme, or update your current giving? Click on the ‘Start Donating’ button below. For Payroll Giving, you will need the registered charity name and number to hand.

Charitable Giving will take care of the rest – they’ll advise Nationwide’s Payroll department of the amount to deduct from your pay, and then distribute the money to your chosen charities.

To get started you’ll need the registration number for the charity you would like to support.

Every Penny Helps

To ensure that charities get the full benefit from your contributions, Nationwide covers the cost of administering the schemes.

Signing up to Every Penny Helps means you donate the pence from your net pay each month. Small change can make a big difference! So if your pay was £1,239.06, you’d donate the last 6 pence of your pay that month.

You have the choice of donating your pennies to our Fairer Futures partners: Centrepoint, Action for Children , Dementia UK or The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. Charitable Giving make a lump sum payment of employee donations to each charity on a quarterly basis and the great news is that eligible donations are also enhanced by 25% through Gift Aid too.
